Specialty Pool and Fountain, an American Pool partner company, has been nominated for a Decorative Award from the American Concrete Institute. This annual award recognizes craftsmanship and design in the concrete industry. This project was done for a Shipley’s Grant property.

The work nominated is a stamped ashar slate. This type of colored concrete is a decorative technique used by many skilled contractors. Currently, this type of concrete is emerging as a strong trend in sidewalks, patios, and driveways. With this technique one can create interesting designs that look clean and polished around a new build or pool renovation project.

SPF is known for their museum quality work and has won several awards for design and craftsmanship. Through their work with talented architects, historical properties, and projects that demand the highest attention to detail SPF continually pushes the envelope of quality.

We look forward to the awards banquet that will take place on May 26th, 2011.
