Our Central New Jersey Staff

A motivated and hardworking team.

Brian Bergeski
Brian started his career as a teenager working in commercial pool construction. He spent his time working on pool renovations, doing repairs and preparing pools for opening and closing. After high school, he started working full-time in pool construction for a local company.

Today, Brian is President of American Pool, New Jersey with over 15 years of swimming pool renovation and building under his belt. Brian is proud of every project, but his favorite so far is the Chapel Beach Club: Within a two-month window, his team built two state-of-the-art pools in time for Memorial Day.

When he’s not shaping concrete, Brian spends time with his new wife and his Shiba Inu, Hunter.

Felicia Vargas
Felicia has been in and around pools from an early age. She has always been connected in some way, having almost every job imaginable in the pool industry, from Swim Instructor to Lifeguard Instructor Trainer.

Felicia was introduced to American Pool when an old colleague of hers stopped Felicia in traffic one day and asked her to lifeguard again, at age 18, after taking a short break from it. Felicia worked her way up from Lifeguard to Supervisor and, is now the Administrative Director.

Outside of American Pool, Felicia loves being out on the Rugby pitch, training in Muay Thai and relaxing with a nice cup of tea.

Peter Wnuk

In 1998, Peter was referred by a friend to American Pool. He became a lifeguard that year and after only one season he was promoted to supervisor. From there he advanced to the position of Assistant Regional Manager, and then Regional Manager. In 2008, he became a Construction Manager. He loves that his job keeps him on his toes and that he doesn’t have the same schedule everyday.

Peter now has a 16 month old daughter and loves spending as much time as he can with her. Cooking is one of his favorite things to do and looks forward watching the Miami Dolphins play on Sunday.

Andrew Smith
Andrew grew up swimming at a pool that was managed by American Pool, which inspired him to start lifeguarding at age 15.

After graduating from Rowan University, Andrew was an Area Supervisor for the summer. He was later promoted to Assistant Regional Manager, a job which he held for two years. In February 2016, Andrew became the Recruiting Director.

Outside of American Pool, Andrew enjoys riding his motorcycle, watching the New York Islanders, and taking naps.
