Brooks Wedeking
Brooks is the president here at our American Pool Houston operation. He started his career in the pool industry as a lifeguard while attending college. He moved his way up the ladder as a supervisor, assistant regional manager, regional manager and VP of Management. Today, he has 17 years of experience under his belt. He spends his time training essential field personnel – teaching them best practices for pool operation, maintenance and customer service. By standardizing operations, he helped American Pool Maryland progress year after year. Brooks is also a recipient of the President’s Award (2008), American Pool’s highest honor.

Brooks studied Political Science at University of Maryland. When he’s away from the office, he looks forward to spending time with his wife, two children and family dog. He especially enjoys coaching his son’s soccer and baseball teams.

Adam Berthelot
General Manager

Adam Berthelot grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana working summers at his family’s construction company. As a teenager, Adam’s family opened a scuba diving shop where he spent a lot of time helping out with certification classes, filling tanks and helping out around the shop. He became a certified Advanced Diver with additional certifications in Rescue and First Aid.

After high school, Adam went to work for his family businesses full time and gained a lot of business development, sales, management, staffing and operations experience. In 2006, he enrolled at the University of Memphis. He graduated from the Fogelman College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration: Management.

After school, he returned back to Louisiana and accepted a facilities management position with a residential treatment facility. Here he gained experience in pool maintenance and operations. After being promoted and taking on numerous administrative roles, he was able to further develop the sales, customer service, business development and staffing management skills that he learned growing up in his family businesses.

In 2015, he accepted the Office Manager position at the new Houston location of American Pool. He is excited about relocating to Houston from Louisiana and looks forward to being part of the team that will fulfill all of your pool needs in the Houston area.

He also enjoys boating, golfing, reading, LSU athletics, and spending time with his dog, Lilly.

Rick Calloway
Service Manager

Rick grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio where he spent the majority of his time playing sports as a kid. Rick attended Indiana University playing for legendary coach Bobby Knight on a basketball scholarship; later helping the Hoosiers win a NCAA championship in 1987. After playing 3 years for the Hoosiers he transferred to Kansas to play for the Jayhawks and earn his degree in Communications. Following graduation, Rick went on to play 2 seasons with the Sacramento Kings in the NBA and 6 seasons in Europe. But it wasn’t until Rick decided to retire from basketball in 2000 that he entered the swimming pool industry.

Applying the same work ethic and dedication he achieved during his time as an athlete, Rick advanced in the industry gaining expert knowledge in pool maintenance, repairs, renovations, and construction. Now with over 15 years of experience in the swimming pool industry, Rick helps maintain the safety and daily operations of pools in the Houston area as our Service Manager.

He enjoys dining out for a great meal. Playing golf and watching basketball, football and a good movie.
