Brian’s career in the pool industry began in 1994. Ever since then he’s been involved in poolside operations. Today, he is the President of American Pool Pennsylvania and oversees the day to day. He was awarded the Presidents Award in 2011 for his ambition and drive to get the job done.
Brian studied Communications at the University of Maryland, College Park. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities like surfing, paddle boarding and hiking. Brian is married with four kids: one daughter, one son and two dogs.
Andrew became a lifeguard in 2002. From there he quickly advanced to a supervisory role. After two years he came to work for American Pool and continued to move up the ranks to Assistant Regional Manager and then Regional Manager. He graduated from Temple University in 2007. After eight years, he still enjoys collaborating with clients and teaching the technical aspects of pools. He is rewarded by the everyday challenges of pool management. He was the recipient of the 2014 President’s Award.
Andrew has a passion for continuing education – this is demonstrated by his long list of certifications: Certified Pool/Spa Operator, State Certified Aquatic Pesticide Applicator, Pentair Pool Products Service Technician, Raypak Heater Technician and Installer, Certified Swimming Pool Accessibility Specialist, Hayward Factory Service Representative and State Certified Paramedic.
In his spare time, Andrew is an avid skydiver, ski patroller and scuba diver. He also enjoys fishing and snowboarding.
Mary Rose Fichera
Mary graduated from La Salle University in 2012 with a BA in Accounting. She became part of the American Pool family in April 2014, starting as a Staffing Assistant and moving into her new role as Administrative Director. Though her role is administrative in nature, she’s also very involved with staffing. One of her favorite things about the job is meeting new people and making new connections within the pool industry. Mary also enjoys working as a team with everyone in the PA office. Her hobbies include spending time with her boyfriend, socializing with friends, and catching up on her favorite TV shows and movies.
In 2011, Mike Polly started his career as a lifeguard, and within two short years he was promoted to supervisor. As he began learning more about his new role as a manager, he was inspired to continue his career in aquatics. After dedicating himself to American Pool full time, he was able to begin working as a technician. The skills he had learned while lifeguarding transferred easily to his technician training. With some hard work in the field, he was promoted again to Assistant Regional Manager.
In his free time, Mike enjoys activities with friends and hiking. If you don’t find him in the great outdoors, he’s most likely relaxing at the pizzeria or swimming a few laps.
Frank first became a lifeguard in 2009 and soon after worked as a service technician for Leslie’s Pools. He holds many certifications -HVAC, EPA, and CPO just to name a few. Frank came to American Pool in 2016 as the Assistant Regional Manager under Andrew Kanetsky.
Today, Frank operates pools in over five counties across the state of Pennsylvania. In his spare time Frank enjoys music, including playing piano, guitar, and drums. You may be lucky enough to catch him playing at a live show, if he isn’t busy keeping the pool deck safe!
In 2005, Justin began his American Pool career as a lifeguard while just two years later he was promoted to supervisor. After his promotion, Justin has sought further responsibility and education from the aquatics industry by becoming a Certified Pool Operator, pesticide applicator, and service technician. Utilizing these certifications, Justin helps to repair and maintain all of American Pool Philadelphia’s contracts. During his time off Justin enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his dog Winchester, and fishing.
