In this digital age, American Pool remains a people-intensive business. Our success over the last 35 years has always been dependent on the quality and dedication of our full time and seasonal teams. Each year our organization recognizes excellence through our Corporate Awards program and the President’s Award is the highest distinction of the program.

The 2018 President’s Award was given to Nick Vaccarello, of our Nanuet, New York office. Nick has been with American Pool since 2003 and currently serves as the Regional Vice President of American Pool New York & Northern New Jersey. During his time with American Pool, Nick has developed into a strong leader while maintaining a reputation as a team player. Nick provided significant support to the Virginia office in the spring of 2018, during a transitional time for that office. Further, Nick demonstrated a commitment to lifelong learning by recently earning the Lifeguard Instructor Trainer Certification, representing the top tier of the American Red Cross’ instructional hierarchy. This certification allows Nick to train other Lifeguard Instructors which is an incredible resource for the organization in the work we do for our clients. Nick received his award at the 2018 Driver’s Meeting in Philadelphia, PA this past November.

The President’s Award began in 1998 as a way to acknowledge staff members who go above and beyond the call of duty and are true assets to the American Pool organization. Every year, each of our 17 office locations nominates staff for this award and many others. The winner of the President’s Award is selected by the American Pool Executive Team for being a productive and committed team member who carries out their responsibilities to the company with quality and excellence. 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the award.

Our President’s Award Winners are a true asset to the entire organization, as well as to their own local operation. They are enthusiastic and willing to take up more duties where and when needed. They don’t simply wear a specific hat and they rarely if ever, say it’s not their job. They are dependable and are positive forces for the team. They stand out as role models for others inside the company. — Mike Lafaver, Corporate Human Resources Coordinator

We are proud to have Nick Vaccarello as a member of the American Pool organization. We look forward to his continued success with the company and all that he does to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our clients each season. Congratulations, Nick!
