Brian’s career in the pool industry began in 1994. Ever since then he’s been involved in poolside operations. Today, he is the President of American Pool Pennsylvania and oversees the day to day. He was awarded the Presidents Award in 2011 for his ambition and drive to get the job done.
Brian studied Communications at the University of Maryland, College Park. In his spare time he enjoys outdoor activities like surfing, paddle boarding and hiking. Brian is married with four kids: one daughter, one son and two dogs.
Andrew first became a lifeguard in 2002, and has spent the majority of his adult life in the commercial aquatics industry with American Pool. Andrew is currently the General Manager of the branch. He spends his days directing the Regional Manager team, Service Department, and other facets of the business operation. He graduated from Temple University in 2007. Even after years in the business, he still enjoys collaborating with clients and teaching the technical aspects of pools. He is rewarded by the everyday challenges of pool management. He was the recipient of the 2014 President’s Award.
Andrew has a passion for continuing education this is demonstrated by his long list of industry certifications. Most importantly, Andrew has been given the distinguished designations of a National Swimming Pool Foundation instructor; the highest certification available in the commercial aquatics field.
In his spare time, Andrew is an avid skydiver, ski patroller and scuba diver. He also enjoys fishing and snowboarding.
Mary Rose Fichera
Mary graduated from La Salle University in 2012 with a BA in Accounting. She became part of the American Pool family in April 2014, starting as a Staffing Assistant and moving into her new role as Administrative Director. Though her role is administrative in nature, she’s also very involved with staffing. One of her favorite things about the job is meeting new people and making new connections within the pool industry. Mary also enjoys working as a team with everyone in the PA office. Her hobbies include spending time with her boyfriend, socializing with friends, and catching up on her favorite TV shows and movies.
In 2011, Mike Polly started his career as a lifeguard, and within two short years he was promoted to supervisor. As he began learning more about his new role as a manager, he was inspired to continue his career in aquatics. After dedicating himself to American Pool full time, he was able to begin working as a technician. The skills he had learned while lifeguarding transferred easily to his technician training. With some hard work in the field, he was promoted again to Assistant Regional Manager.
In his free time, Mike enjoys activities with friends and hiking. If you don’t find him in the great outdoors, he’s most likely relaxing at the pizzeria or swimming a few laps.
Nate joined the American Pool family as a Regional Manager in the spring of 2018. In his short time with the company he has proven to be a valuable and effective member of the team. Working as a Regional, Nate deals with customers on a daily basis, providing excellent support all while coordinating maintenance, repairs, and inspections as he oversees the operations of his aquatic facilities. Prior to his start with American Pool, Nate worked as both an electrician and EMT. Taking a career change, he has found a new home in the aquatics industry and is enjoying every minute of it. When Nate is not working which isn’t often, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Justin began his career with American Pool in 2006 as a Lifeguard. After two years of lifeguarding, Justin became a Supervisor to further his knowledge and commitment within the industry After being a Supervisor, he proceeded to learn more about the structure and engineering of pools by joining the Construction Department. In 2018, as a Regional Manager, Justin spends his days checking up on clients and guards while reminiscing about his lifeguarding days. . In his free time, Justin can be found in the woods hunting, fishing, or Jeepin’ with his two dogs Winchester and Libby.
Anestasia has been an American Pool team member for many years. She has held many operational positions before finding her true calling in the Staffing and Recruiting Department. As the department lead, she oversees all areas of training, scheduling, and recruiting. When not in the office, she works full-time as an ER nurse. Anestasia holds many certifications, not just medical but within the aquatics industry as well. Tasia received her BSN and RN from Quinipiaic University, and is soon starting a Doctorate of Nurse Practitioner program. She has always been a valuable member of the team and truly the glue that binds the Staffing Department.
Anthony joined the American Pool family in June of 2018 as a full-time Staffer and proved to be a valuable asset to the team. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys playing baseball and enjoying the local Philadelphia nightlife where he also manages a club on weekends. In his spare time, Anthony enjoys hanging out with his brothers.
Alexis started her lifeguarding career in 2016 when she worked as at Sesame Place. From there, she decided that she wanted to take the next step to achieve more within her lifeguarding career. Alexis joined the American Pool family in May of 2018 as a Seasonal Staffer and proved herself to be a valued asset to the team. She has since worked her way up to a Full-time Staffer. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys the beach and watching endless episodes of Criminal Minds. In her free time, Alexis can be found spending quality time with her daughter Ava.
George started working in the Aquatics Industry as a lifeguard in 2000. After spending two years lifeguarding at local pools, George moved to North Wildwood and served on the beach as an Ocean Lifeguard. Because of this experience, he is very serious about water safety and ensuring that his lifeguards are always doing a great job maintaining a safe environment for the patrons.
