American Pool New York opened its offices in 2000 bringing the concept of reliable, professional third party swimming pool management to the marketplace. Since then, our Nanuet, New York-based operation has developed a professional team to support loyal clients throughout the region. We’re especially proud of the fact that so many of our current leaders got their start as seasonal associates years ago.

This team of pool professionals maintains memberships with the Community Associations Institute, the Northeast Pool and Spa Association, and the Association of Pool and Spa Professionals.

Our New York Leadership

John Dugan started his career with American Pool as a lifeguard in 2003 and worked his way up to the role of Regional Manager of the newly minted territory of New York City. John successfully grew the New York City operation and was eventually promoted to President of the New York office in 2022. John has received an array of accolades during his career including the President’s Award which is American Pool’s capstone achievement for excellence.
