On Tuesday, March 13th, 2012 American Pool held a fundraising event to benefit the Make a Splash foundation, raising nearly $5,000. All proceeds will benefit the Jewish Community Center in Baltimore, and the funds will be used to instruct visitors how to swim. These swimming lessons will be both for children and adults and will take place the week before Memorial Day 2012. The lessons are open to anyone who wishes to register.

Bill Kirkner, aquatics director at the JCC, was present at the event and informed all those who attended that last year the funds raised provided swimming lessons for approximately 600 people. This year, American Pool Enterprises was able to exceed the amount raised last year, allowing even more people to learn how to swim this year.

American Pool would like to extend a special thank-you to the Columbia Office, the corporate headquarters in Owings Mills, and to Enterprise Fleet Management for their support of this event. In addition, special thanks go to Jessica Schleri of Enterprise and American Pool Enterprises’ very own Walter Shoup for their work in bringing this event together. Without them, this event would not have taken place!
