Every fall our lifeguard recruiting teams from across the country come together for a two day collaboration focusing on all aspects of Lifeguard Recruiting and Management. Recruiting where they review the previous year, explore new strategies, and prepare for an amazing upcoming season. From all across the country — Georgia, Ohio, New York, and more, our recruiters came together to unpack the conference theme “#RecruitLikeaBoss” with a ready-to-learn attitude.
This year our recruiters gathered at the Asbury Hotel, located in Asbury Park, New Jersey. The stunning hotel and community provided the perfect back drop for this year’s summit. A lively city, perfect for our lively recruiters, Asbury Park is filled with many exciting and interesting things to do. From the Pinball Machine Museum to the historical restaurants to the Hot Sand Glassblowing demonstrations, our recruiters had no trouble finding ways to wind down after a hard day’s work at the summit.
At the summit our Houston team received the 2017 Lifeguard Program Excellence Award for outstanding recruiting and management throughout the season. This is an incredible achievement, especially considering the work that our Houston team did to help the Houston community and their clients recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
Our CDO, Ben Basch, boasts about the work Houston has done this year. “They are an incredible team. Considering all that happened this year, they persevered and kept their eyes on the goal of excellent service regardless of outside circumstances. The entire American Pool team can’t wait to see what they’ll achieve next year!”
